Welcome!

You might be considering counseling for many reasons.  Perhaps you want to make changes in your life, but don't know where to begin.  Maybe you wish your relationships were more satisfying. Possibly you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or stuck.

You've come to the right place!  Choosing counseling can be a powerful first step in making meaningful changes in your life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with Masters degrees in Counseling and Education. I have been working with adolescents and adults in school, agency, and private practice settings since 1995. I offer counseling services to individuals, families, and couples.

Whether you are struggling with relationships, parenting, depression, anxiety, or grief and loss, you have within you the power to make lasting changes. I'm here to help. Together we can figure out what's not working for you, remove obstacles that are blocking you, and help you create the life that you want to have.

My Approach

I see myself as your partner on this journey.  While my practice is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral theory and a Person-Centered approach, I do not believe that therapy is "one-size fits all".  The work we do will depend very much on where you are, what you need, and what works for you.  The key element to any work we do, however, is the creation of a safe space that is free from judgement, one in which you are supported, respected, empowered, and accepted as you are, for it is only when you feel safe to share your truth that real change can happen.

Specific Issues Addressed

I work with individuals and couples on a variety of issues including:
  • Anxiety
  • Relationships
  • Parenting
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Life or Family Transitions
  • Sexual Identity
  • Self-Esteem
  • Grief and Loss
  • Separation/Divorce
  • Life Coaching / Career Coaching
  • Academic Issues
Sometimes you may not have a specific issue or concern; you just know that something's not working right. That's ok, we can figure things out together.

I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions, want information about rates or insurance, want to learn more about counseling in general or working with me specifically, or want to set up a time to meet.

I look forward to working with you!
