There are some core beliefs that will shape the work we do together. First and foremost is that you are the expert in your own life. I'm here to help you tell your stories and make sense of things that are troubling you, but I will never claim to know you better than you know yourself.
Through my professional and personal journey, I've come to learn just how many of our challenges come from the pressure we place on ourselves in the form of “shoulds” and the way we judge and criticize ourselves when we don’t meet those expectations. We can so often be the architects of our own distress. We will work together on reducing that self-criticism and moving towards greater self-acceptance and a better, more satisfying life.
